SeaMeal is now yeast-free and has been re-formulated with flax seed meal, an excellent source of Omega 3 and 6 essentail fatty acids. It is thought that some dogs may be allergic to certain types of yeast, although often the exact type of yeast causing the allergy, is unknow. In order to eliminate this possible allergen, the brewers yeast (which is just one of more than twenty different types of yeast) was removed from our SeaMeal, and replaced with flax seed meal. For customers who still wish to supplement with Brewers Yeast, our English Rescue Brewers Yeast and Garlic tablets are still available in a 1000 tab container. The National Cancer Institute has evaluated flax seed and found that it:

stimulates the immune system

reduces the incidence of coronary heart disease

is high in phyto-nutrients which have anti-tumor properties and may be linked to a low incidence of colon cancer

contains a high level of antioxidants, may lower triglycerides cholesterol, and have favorable effects on insulin activity
